Kuwait is waiting to win a seat on the Security Council
Every home – Arabs live: Kuwait State expects to win a non-permanent seat on the Security Council elections conducted by the United Nations General Assembly later Friday, to choose the five non-permanent members of the Security Council for the years 2018 and 2019.
According to the Kuwait News Agency (Kuna), listing the candidates for non-permanent seats on the Security Council, in addition to Kuwait, Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, the Netherlands, Peru and Poland.
Kuwait got, which joined the United Nations membership in 1963, a non-permanent seat in the Security Council only once during 1978 and 1979.
After announcing her candidacy for Kuwait a non-permanent seat on the Security Council in 2011 befriended a group of “Asia Pacific” in 2016 candidature formally, as well as the Gulf Cooperation Council for the Gulf Arabic, Arabic League, organization of Islamic cooperation.
