Stoltenberg: we will strengthen NATO’s military presence in Afghanistan after 2017
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg that NATO will maintain its military presence in Afghanistan after the year 2017, but will be reinforced.
Stoltenberg said at the conclusion of the NATO Defense Ministers ‘ meeting on Afghanistan, Thursday: “we will continue our determined support” after the year 2017 today I can confirm that we will strengthen our presence there. ”
He added that Afghan forces received full responsibility for the security situation in the country has allowed NATO to withdraw its troops, which number was more than 100 000 components, go to the current training task which not exceeding 13 thousand.
