UAE Ambassador in Washington: no military action against Qatar

Washington — Reuters: U.A.E. ‘s Ambassador to Washington said Tuesday that no military aspect to the steps taken by the Arab powers against Qatar.

Yusuf said Al Otaiba told reporters in Washington “there is absolutely a military aspect to anything we do,” he continued, “you spoke and I met (u.s. Defense Secretary) General (Jim Mathis) four times in the last week and we gave them assurances that the steps we have taken will not affect bye means the base or any support or related rule”.

Otaiba stressed that there was a specific list of demands for the United States will provide Qatar very soon, likely to take additional measures against Doha unless it changed its policy.
