The Libyan coast guard recovered the bodies of eight migrants from a rubber boat was found East of Tripoli on Saturday.
The EC said that “there are fears that at least 52 people were missing in two incidents involving large numbers of passengers travel aboard rickety boats off the Libyan coast.”
Italian coast guard systems more than 12 search and rescue to save the lives of immigrants.
UNHCR indicated that “solutions can’t be found in Italy,” said: “the new measures on both sides of the Mediterranean to combat smuggling in earnest.”
IDA also called for additional efforts to assist refugees and immigrants in States that move them before they get to Libya, saying they “are subjected to exploitation and violations” in these States.
And Libya is the most commonly used starting point for migrants trying to reach Europe by sea, with the number of transients since 2014, with UNHCR estimates that over 1770 people died or went missing while trying to cross the Mediterranean.
